Zopper announced a valuable addition to its leadership team with the appointment of Harneet Singh as its Chief Business Officer. An accomplished Marketing and Business Leader with in-depth Consumer Marketing and Business building experience, Harneet will leverage his extensive knowledge to spearhead the Sales, Marketing, Operations and PR verticals at Zopper.
Prior to joining Zopper, Harneet was associated with Domino’s Pizza India as a Senior Vice President – Marketing, E-commerce, New Product Development and PR. Here, he played a key role in building Domino’s into India’s largest Food Services brand. He was also instrumental in setting up India’s first “Hyper Local On-Demand Food Delivery E-Commerce and M-Commerce” platforms from scratch and establishing them into India’s most successful Digital Food Ordering & Tech platforms. Prior to Domino’s, he had a successful stint with Kohler India Corp Pvt. Ltd. and TVS Motor Co.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Neeraj Jain, Co-founder & CEO, Zopper commented, “We are extremely glad to welcome someone with Harneet’s work experience and reputation on board as he brings in extensive consumer marketing and marketplace know-how to the table which will be of considerable help in shaping the future strategies at Zopper. With Harneet as a part of our leadership team, we are confident that we will be able to leverage his extensive brand building skills and expertise in order to establish Zopper as the most recognisable go-to option in the Indian hyperlocal market landscape.”
Harneet has been recognised with several awards for his exemplary work, having been named the ‘Marketer of the Year 2015’ by DMAi and featured amongst the ‘Top 20 Marketing Masterminds of India 2014’ by World Consulting and Research Corp (WCRC) and Brands Illustrated amongst other recognitions. He also won the ‘Best Digital Integrated Campaign 2014’ at India Digital Awards, many other awards for Digital Marketing excellence and led Domino’s Pizza to the pole position as ‘India’s Most Exciting Brands 2015’ in the Foods Services Category in Economic Times Brand Equity Report.
The latest appointment comes as no surprise as Zopper looks set to undertake large-scale expansion plans to spread its omni-channel approach across India. It attempts this by integrating the ease and convenience of online shopping with the familiarity and trust factor of the traditional brick-and-mortar shops. Currently present in 15 cities, the company plans to expand its services across 30 Indian cities within the next 12 months.
