The new Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone was up for sale on Amazon.in today. Xiaomi had kept the price attractively low starting at Rs 6999 for the base variant. The smartphone was all sold out in its first hour of the flash sale.
The Redmi 4 is an upgrade to the last year’s Redmi 3S Prime and comes with appealing specifications. The phone flaunts its all metal body with finger print scanner on the back. It comes with a 5-inch 720p LCD display and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor. The highlight of this handset is its 4100 mAh battery that gives users a lasting battery.
The all new Redmi 4X will be available in two price ranges – 2GB RAM with 32GB storage priced approx 7000 and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage priced approx Rs 9000. There’s a 13MP face detection auto-focus rear camera with a LED flash that can record 1080p videos at 30fps. The front camera on the Redmi 4 is a 5MP unit that is also capable of recording 1080p videos. There is 128GB expandable storage available via microSD card. It comes with curved 2.5D glass on the front and will also come in matte black finish and gold colour options like the Redmi Note 4.
The Redmi 4 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a tinge of Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 8 . Xiaomi is letting Redmi 4 users experience the beta version of Android N on the phone out of the box.
The phone, as expected was exclusively available and was sold out within an hour .
