"This platform will soon only have "dark mode".It is better in every way", tweeted Elon Musk.

Through the tweets Elon Musk announced that the X platform will only support dark mode in the coming future. Musk emphasizes that the feature will be exclusive and superior in every other aspect. While Musk seems to believe in the superiority of dark mode it has raised a number of concerns among the users.

The users have asserted that it will be a challenge for people with vision disorders or impairments to read light text on dark background. As different users have different preferences the announcement has sparked concerns among those who are not comfortable with the dark mode. As it can be challenging for some people to read text on a dark background.

Right now, the X platform offers three different modes for the background being it light, dark, and dim mode where the background appears dark blue. Users are allowed to choose for themselves as per their preference. However, as per the statements released by Elon Musk himself it seems to portray that the platform will eliminate both the light and dim mode very soon and will be exclusively supporting dark mode only.

Conclusion

The announcement may have raised concerns and slight objections toward the decision to make a default dark background. But the company believes it will be a perfect move as it will meld well with the new logo 'X'. As the new logo of the platform is an 'X', white text is featured on a dark background.
Although, it is a change that is not welcomed by all, as it will make the Interface(UI) challenging for some people. It will be a sight to observe how users are going to respond after the changes get implemented on the platform.
