Going Digital - what does it mean to you and your organisation?
In simple terms, for me going digital is where the end customer should benefit by ease of operation in a simple manner by completing on time. Ultimately it should benefit both the customer and organisation. Since the expectation of the customer is more as there are lot of avenues and competition, organisation has to show the value by absorbing new customers and retaining the existing customers.
What is your Digital Transformation plan, strategy and the deliverables you expect or already coming in?
We are way ahead in Digital transformation. We have started Cloud (Public and Private) and Mobile based applications. Since we have all India presence, we wanted to simplify the tasks for the users. Our presence is predominately in Tier -III and Tier -IV areas. So we have initiated mobile based application for payment collection before 4 years. We were one of the initial deployer of mobile transactions. The encrypted data is stored on the centralised server. We have enhanced in such a way, most of our lending transactions like lead generation, loan approvals, payment transactions are accessed and viewed in mobile app. During Demonitization, we have effectively used our mobile apps in such a way where we have educated the public mostly who are in small villages. Now we are exploring on Artificial intelligence and Block chain for decreasing the TAT on resolving the queries and also for effective use on Cross selling.
On Cloud computing, we have both Private and Public Cloud. Our applications are managed through a private cloud where the resources are efficiently and effectively used. Based on the criticality we enhance the resources. A public cloud is deployed where images and recordings are transfered from our Datacenter to the public cloud. We have automated in such a way the transfer happens from the data center when the data touches the threshold level.
