UPSC ESE 2024 Notification Released for 167 Vacancies

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification for Engineer Service Examination (ESE) 2024. The commission has set 167 vacancies for young individuals willing to work on national projects.

The commission conducts UPSC ISE/ESE examinations annually to recruit IES officers in various departments, including Railway, CPWD, MES, CWC, Ordinance Factories, and many more.

Who is eligible for UPSC ESE 2024?

The commission has set some prerequisites for candidates who are interested in appearing for the examination. The qualifications include

Nationality

• Citizen of India
• The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
• Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
• Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

Educational Qualification

• A degree in Engineering/Technology (BE/B. Tech) or its equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & telecommunication discipline from a recognized university.

Age Limit

• At least 21 years old and not older than 30 years old. In addition, candidates may apply for age relaxation in accordance with government regulations based on their category.

What is the selection process for UPSC ESE 2024?

The selection process of the examination is carried out in five stages. These stages include

• Preliminary examination
• Mains examination
• Personal Interview
• Documents verification
• Medical examination

Candidate's performance will be reviewed in the first three stages of examination and interview. Qualified candidates will be called for further process that includes document verification and medical examination. Selected candidates will be offered a position with a respectable salary, work security, and other benefits.
