After Ola, US based cab aggregator Uber has launched 'UberHire' in nine Indian cities including Delhi, Pune, Bangaluru and Mumbai which will allow users to hire a cab for upto 12 hrs. Now users can travel around the city without any hassle. Last year Ola launched a similar service 'Rentals' which is available in 85 Indian cities at present.

UberHire will allow users to make trips with multiple stops. At present this facility is available on cash payment only. The total fare is calculated based on the distance and the duration of the trip. The minimum fare range between Rs. 449-649 for two hours and upto 30 km. After two hours, the users will be charged Rs.2 a minute and Rs.12 per km.
Cancellation of the cab is easy, but the cancellation charges will vary from city to city. According to the company, dynamic pricing will not be applicable.
"Our technology makes it possible for us to create specialized solutions that can help users have access to reliable transportation at affordable prices. UberHIRE is one such product that addresses the unique commuting needs of riders in India, especially that of tourists, business travelers, senior citizens, and working professionals by letting them book an Uber and use it for upto 12 hours," Apurva Dalal, head of engineering at Uber India, said in the release.
