To celebrate its 10th anniversary Flipkart offers heavy discounts

Flipkart is celebrating its decade old etail service by offering massive discounts on its platform. The sale is called 'Big 10' which will start from 14th May and will last till 18th May'17. For Flipkart, this sale can be a huge success as it will offer huge discounts across various categories. The sale has already created ruckus in the market and especially among its competitors. Amazon is also planning to counter its sale with its sale during the similar timeframe.

The two biggest online e-commerce platforms - Flipkart and Amazon - are at sale war again. These two e-commerce platforms have lined up simultaneous sales this month which will offer huge discounts and cash-backs to consumers. Flipkarts's rival Amazon has strategically announced the Great India Sale from 11th May till 14th May just before Flipkart's 'Big 10'.

Massive discounts upto 80% will be offered across various brands and products on Flipkart. Even Myntra, Flipkart -owned company will also hold its sale during this period.

Apart from consumers, this sale will benefit the sellers who will try to make up for the losses made during demonetization. According to reports, sellers can expect 3-4 fold rise in revenue during the sale. Both these platforms have asked sellers and brands to offer heavy discounts, which they will partially compensate by charging a lower margin from them. Addition to this, discounts will be provided through cash-backs for digital payments.

Amazon users can look forward for huge discounts on consumer electronics, smartphones, Televisions, fashion and accessories. The consumers will get discounts on various brands and products across different categories.
