Going Digital - what does it mean to you and your organization?
Digital is very common yet widespread word having a different meaning for different stakeholders. For some, it’s about technology. For others, digital is a new way of engaging with customers. And for others still, it represents an entirely new way of doing business. The framework can start right from going paperless & keeping all records in digitized format, engaging with end customers, dealers & distributors. None of these definitions is necessarily correct or incorrect but it is the perspective and new way of doing business.
There is a tectonic shift in the way we work. We expect the same kind of intuitive, tactile experience with our workplace technology that we now take for granted with our smartphones, tablets and gaming systems. Digital is about unlocking growth now. The business world is entering a new era in which digitization will mean more tasks that need to get done and less time to do them – with even less margin for error.
What is your Digital Transformation plan, strategy and the deliverables you expect or are already coming in?
Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business resulting in fundamental changes to how businesses operate and how they deliver value to customers. Our plan is based on pillars:
- Customer experience
- Operational agility
- Manufacturing Excellence
- Workforce enablement
- Digital technology integration
The strategy is to have a resonating culture and leadership. The point to sales, services and marketing, highlighting apps, and analytics investments, digital boardrooms are some of the digital veneers that are leading our organization derive the digital benefits by unifying new technologies into the existing business strategy, model and operations.
