Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has put billions in AI investments and training in recent weeks. The field of artificial intelligence (AI) is evolving rapidly, and the rise of generative AI has caused businesses to reconsider their investments, adjust their business models, and seek out new methods of operation. To stay up with technological breakthroughs, Indian IT majors and IT services providers are also getting on the AI trends and are rapidly building LLMs and AI chatbots.
TCS announced to introduce its own AI chatbot in May. TCS chief operating officer N Ganapathy Subramaniam reportedly made an announcement that the company is building its own AI chatbot equivalent to ChatGPT that can be used for enterprise code generation.
TCS also declared earlier this month that it would collaborate with Microsoft to expand its expertise in Azure Open AI. In order to speed up its clients' adoption of this technology, TCS stated it would train 25,000 engineers and certify them in Microsoft's Azure Open AI. With its dedicated Microsoft Business Unit (MBU) and more than 50,000 AI-trained employees, TCS may assist its customers' AI journeys by providing data analytics and AI services on the Microsoft Cloud.
On the Microsoft Cloud, TCS also introduced its new generative AI Enterprise Adoption service for customers. According to the business, this framework would allow its clients' teams to brainstorm AI-led solutions and help customers jumpstart their generative AI journey to power their growth and transformation."To benefit from the new technologies, TCS is also improving its own line of products and platforms.
Not only TCS but other tech giants of the industry whether it be Infosys or Wipro are on their way to adopting Generative Artificial Intelligence(AI). Infosys is targeted to spend about 2 billion dollars on its AI solutions over the next five years. It has also launched Topaz to accelerate business values using generative artificial intelligence (AI).
Similarly, Wipro has launched its own AI product named ‘Wipro ai360’ an innovative ecosystem to integrate into every platform, tool, and solution that is being used internally. The increasing investments in Generative AI by companies tend to depict their commitment to building their own AI ecosystem.
