TCS iON, a strategic unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has recently launched Remote Internships for students. The TCS remote internship program, which is completely digital, aims to connect students directly with corporates and industry mentors and provide a structured learning environment to execute projects remotely.

As summer internships in prestigious institutions have been cancelled across the country due to the COVID-19 induced lockdowns, TCS hopes this initiative will help students to complete mandated internships in their syllabus. Venguswamy Ramaswamy, global head, TCS iON, said, “We are excited to launch this product just in time for the summer internships and bring the industry and students together on a single digital platform. Through this product we hope to enable streamlined and uninterrupted learning for students on trending industry topics, ensuring that they earn their academic credits, even in the midst of a pandemic.”

TCS iON Remote Internships will also help companies post internship opportunities online. Students can browse through the listed internships, see what project themes are trending, and apply for the relevant ones. Credits will be awarded depending on the kind of projects chosen, said the company in a statement.

The TCS remote internship is compliant with AICTE guidelines and the opportunities can be availed by students through the year. Over 100 internship opportunities are currently available, and access to industry mentors, industry-curated learning material, projects, and videos or webinars are provided to the interns.

2. TCS iON Rio 125 – 125 hours of internship on industry projects with guidance and webinars from industry leaders.
3. TCS iON Rio 210 - 210 hours of internship on industry projects with guidance and webinars from industry leaders, and industry readiness course.
