Khera Quits Aptech
Aptech MD Pramod Khera has recently relinquished his position in the company.
Khera steered Aptech as its CEO and MD from the year 2001, with a vision to
develop Aptech. into a recognized global leader across a spectrum of Learning
Services. Khera would continue to be associated with the company as its non
executive director and contribute for the further growth of the company. Ninad
Karpe, who was earlier inducted in Aptech as its CEO would now take over from
Khera and lead the company as its CEO and MD.
Tikoo New MD of RFS
Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), a provider in designing and manufacturing of
cable, antenna and tower systems, announced the appointment of Kuldeep Tikoo as
the new managing director of its Indian operations. Tikoo would be focusing on
strengthening the RFS brand in the sub-continent, as well as overseeing the

TSYS Names Sethi as MD
TSYS, a provider in outsourced payment services, appointed Amit Sethi, a veteran
of the global payments industry, as managing director of TSYS India and South
Asia. He would be based in New Delhi and would be responsible for all business
development and outsourcing activities in the region. During his 25-year career
in the payments industry, Sethi has held several executive positions with
companies such as Visa International, KPMG, Bank of America, HSBC, etc.
Airtel CEO Sells all his Holdings
Bharti Airtels chief executive officer and joint managing director, Manoj Kumar
Kohli has sold his entire stock holding in the company. According to BSE, Kohli
has sold 53,000 shares for the net value of Rs 3.11 crore and remaining 70,000
shares for the net value of Rs 4.1 crore through open-market transactions.
Mani is AMI CEO
American Megatrends India (AMI India), a provider in storage and computing
solutions, recently announced the appointment of Sridharan Mani as its director
and chief executive officer for India operations. He would be responsible for
growing business in Asian, African and Middle-Eastern markets for AMIs products

Lindoff Quits Sony Ericsson
Sony Ericsson has announced that its chief technology officer (CTO), Mats
Lindoff, has decided to leave the company effective from pursue new career
opportunities. March 31, 2009, to Ronald Ron Louks, currently head of
technology, Americas, and deputy CTO, Sony Ericsson, will assume the role of CTO.
ISI Appoints Sheehan
Image Solutions (ISI), a provider of software and services to streamline and
manage the regulatory approval process in the life sciences industry, has
appointed Eric Sheehan as director of its software operations, Europe. He will
manage and drive European software operations reporting directly to Adam
Sherlock, managing director, ISI Europe. Eric is responsible for ISI Europes
software-related professional services which comprise implementation,
installation, configuration, validation, project management and support.
Reshuffle at Bharti
Bharti Airtel has reshuffled top-level management to lay the foundation for the
companys next phase of growth. The company has appointed Sanjay Kapoor to the
newly created position of deputy CEO. Sanjay was earlier the companys president
for mobile services. In his new role, Sanjay will look after mobile, telemedia
and direct-to-home (DTH) television services. He will report to Manoj Kohli, the
companys CEO and joint managing director. As part of the reorganisation, Bharti
Airtel has appointed Atul Bindal as president, mobile services and K Srinivas as
joint president, telemedia services. Atul Bindal currently heads the telemedia
business, while K Srinivas is executive director (East), mobile services and
in-charge of Sri Lanka operations. Both Bindal and Srinivas will report to
Sanjay Kapoor. David Nishball will continue as president, enterprise services,
and will report to Kohli.
Mishra Joins Glodyne
Binod K Mishra has joined Glodyne as head of NREGS projects and would lead the
e-Shakti project Bihar, which Glodyne has bagged under the National Rural
Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS). He would lead the team based out of Patna,
Bihar. Mishra brings 30 years of rich experience in handling operations,
maintenance, systems planning, designing & implementation of large technology
projects. Prior to this, Mishra was head of integrated customer operations at
Reliance Communication.

Two New Directors at Moser Baer
Moser Baer has appointed Frank E Dangeard and Viraj Sawhney as its board of
directors. Frank Dangeard was chairman and CEO of Thomson, a provider of digital
video technologies, solutions and services, from 2004 to early 2008. Earlier, he
was senior executive vice president of France Telecom, a global
telecommunications operator. He is chairman or member of a number of boards or
advisory boards of international companies and non-profit organisations.
Dangeard was educated in France and the United States.
Bartz Resigns from Intel Board
Intel has announced that Carol A Bartz, CEO of Yahoo!, has resigned from the
companys board of directors and from the boards audit committee and finance
committee. Intel has appointed John J Donahoe, president and chief executive
officer, eBay, and Frank D Yeary, vice chancellor, University of California
Berkeley (UC Berkeley), to serve on the companys board of directors.
CSC Appoints Brady
CSC has appointed Bryan Brady as vice president of investor relations. In his
new role, Bryan Brady will report to Mike Mancuso, chief financial officer. Bill
Lackey, director of investor relations, will retire after a transition period.
Brady has held several executive positions with the company, including corporate
controller and vice president of finance for CSCs European operations.
NXP Appoints Paliwal
Neeraj Paliwal has been appointed as the new country manager and vice president
of NXP India and also the SoC design manager in the firm. Rajeev Mehtani, vice
president and country manager, NXP India, has quit from the post. He resigned
from the company in January. Headquartered in Bangalore, with operations in
Delhi and Mumbai, NXP India is a player in the semiconductor space. Prior to
joining NXP Semiconductors, Rajeev Mehtani was the product line manager at
Philips Semiconductors.
Oracle Elevates Comfort
Oracle Financial Services Software, a provider in business software

New Members at WiMax Forum
WiMax Forum, a worldwide consortium focused on global adoption of WiMax,
announced the addition of four new members to its board of directors. The new
members are Ali Tabassi, senior vice president of global ecosystem and standards
for Clearwire; Dave Williams, senior vice president of wireless technology at
Comcast Cable; Thomas Lee, vice director of industry standards department for
Huawei Technologies; and Bao-Shuh Paul Lin, vice president and general director
of the Information and Communications Research Laboratories at Taiwans
Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). WiMax forum board has members
from Airspan Networks, Alcatel-Lucent, Alvarion, Aperto Networks, British

Indian Geek Invents Sixth Sense
Pranav Mistry, a researcher at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)
hailing from Gujarat, has created a digital prototype of a portable sixth
sense device that can seamlessly channel Internet information into daily
routines. The invention is being currently evaluated by corporations including
Google, Microsoft, HP and Samsung. This sixth sense device can turn any
surface into a touch-screen for computing, controlled by simple hand gestures.
UST Names Varghese as India Country Head
UST GlobalSM (UST), a provider of IT services and solutions for Global 1000
enterprises, has announced that Alexander Varghese will take on the role of
country head, India where he will be responsible for managing the UST
development centers in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Chennai, and Bangalore.
Varghese will focus on people and process management as well as compliance.
Chandra Joins BIGFlix
BIGFlix, a provider in online and offline movie rental service, recently
announced the appointment of Pankaj Chandra as the chief lead for its online
business. He would be responsible for driving the performance of online movie

Dutton as GM, VMware
Vmware has appointed Andrew Dutton as general manager of VMwares Asia Pacific
and Japan region. Dutton is responsible for strategic planning, business
development and management of key functions for the region, including sales,
channels, services, finance and marketing. Dutton joins VMware from Computer
Associates where he was senior vice president and general manager of
international business, responsible for sales and business operations throughout
the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) regions
Intuit Appoints Bedi
Intuit has established a Global Business Division for India and appointed
Umang Bedi as managing director for India operations. Bedi will be leading the
marketing of the companys products in India. According to Brad Smith, Intuit
president and CEO, the companys focus is to improve the financial lives of
people whether it is personal income tax planning or managing finances for small
businesses.
