NIOS result 2020 for class 12 has been declared by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). While the results have been declared on the basis of assignments (TMA) and practical exams given by students, several parents and students claim that the marks received are below their expectations and would not be “enough” for them to pursue admission into higher institutions.
“Help students of NIOS. Blatant discrimination against NIOS students where we could not even get marks of our science papers practical components. If this were CBSE, by now it would be national news. Since the ministry is unable to help, please raise this issue (sic),” says Varsha Venkat on Twitter.
“More than 90% as per TMA. And less than 45% for exams that were never conducted in the first place? Explain. CBSE and ICSE aren't the only boards of importance,” says Bhavesh Pant. “I am a fresher and I was supposed to get percentage based upon my TMAs, but they failed me in 4 subjects,” says Shariq Rahman on the NIOS result 2020.
“I received my senior secondary examination marks from NIOS BOARD of APRIL 2020. The marks are just unreasonable and don’t even have a pattern to resemble the marking scheme. This isn’t acceptable,” says Suprotim Chakraborty along with documents to support his claim.
“NIOS officially announced that students with no past history with NIOS board will be promoted on the basis of PRACTICAL AND TMA performance. This is not fair @DrRPNishank you say that you understand students' situation,” says Sarthak like several other students on Twitter.
However, NIOS or the HRD Ministry has not yet responded on the matter. Students can check their NIOS Result 2020 on nios.ac.in, and will also be made available on DigiLocker.
