Tech Mahindra has joined hands with Universal Scientific Industrial (Shanghai) (USI), a pioneer in electronic design and manufacturing, to establish USI’s first-ever Engineering Offshore Development Center (ODC) in India. The new center aims to accelerate the development of scalable solutions and bring innovative products to market faster. It will leverage Tech Mahindra’s vast talent pool and advanced labs to focus on key emerging technologies like connected devices, additive manufacturing, connected vehicles, and augmented and virtual reality. For USI, this collaboration marks a significant expansion of its engineering capabilities, with an emphasis on software development, hardware design, and testing.

Narasimham RV, President – Engineering Services, Tech Mahindra, highlighted the importance of this partnership: "This collaboration reflects our commitment to driving innovation through specialized engineering services. Together with USI, we aim to advance device software and hardware design, setting the stage for future breakthroughs."

The center will offer comprehensive services, including modem software development, middleware solutions, board support packages (BSP), device driver engineering, and advanced PCB design. These services will bolster USI’s expertise in the telecom and automotive sectors, enabling quicker and more efficient product launches.
