Paytm FASTag: Don't Get Stuck! Here's What You Need to Do

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has delisted Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) as an authorised Fastag service provider in India. Users are encouraged to link new bank accounts to the service to minimise disruption.

Here is how to deactivate the Paytm app.

• Customers are required to log in to the Paytm application and provide all of the needed information on the platform.
• Once logged in, select the profile icon in the upper left corner.
• After clicking, select the Help and Support option.
• Later, tap the Banking Services & Payments option, which will prompt you to choose the Fastag option.
• Tap the "Chat with us" option at the bottom to submit your deactivation request.

Here's How to Buy a New One.

• First, get the My FASTag app from the Apple App Store. You may contact the app from the Google Play Store, too.
• Log in to the app with your phone number and car information.
• After submitting your information, scroll down until you find the "Buy Fastag" option.
• Once visible, buy it from Amazon or Flipkart.
• To activate the service in the app, select the Activate Fastag option.
• Then, like Amazon or Flipkart, scan the QR code and follow the on-screen instructions.

Meanwhile, the authorities have advised clients to refrain from keeping any balances in the Paytm Fastag wallet after 15 March, as the service will be discontinued. Paytm FASTag service will be discontinued after 15 March 2024. Authorities have advised customers not to keep any balance in their Paytm FASTag wallet after 15 March. This ensures they can utilise the remaining balance before the service ends. Paytm will provide options for customers to transfer or refund their remaining FASTag balance after 15 March. The specific details of these options are yet to be announced by Paytm. Customers who use Paytm FASTag will need to switch to another FASTag provider before 15 March to continue using the service.
