The Smart Manufacturing Research Conclave (SMRC) was held in Mumbai over the weekend by the MeitY Centre of Excellence (CoE)-IoT & AI, a Digital India initiative founded with the support of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the State Governments, and Nasscom. CoE established strategic alliances with prestigious organisations for this conference, including Startup India, IIT Bombay, and Panimalar Engineering College. The Conclave bridged the gap between cutting-edge research and its practical applications in smart manufacturing by bringing together more than 200 stakeholders nationwide on a single platform, including manufacturers, deep-tech startups, researchers, and IT experts.
The CoE-IoT & AI-organised conference was distinguished by several strategic initiatives and partnerships meant to further smart manufacturing in India. The event's reach and influence were increased by forming essential relationships with institutions such as Startup India, IIT Bombay, and Panimalar Engineering College, which brought together innovation, research, and real-world applications. Over 200 participants from different sectors in India were successfully drawn to the event, which established a forum for cooperation and knowledge exchange between academics, business professionals, and industry insiders. The primary goal of the Conclave was to close the gap between cutting-edge research and its practical applications by examining important subjects like automation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The Conclave mainly focused on smart manufacturing.
