Key MoUs Signed Between India and Singapore

1. Digital Technologies Cooperation: The first MoU was inked between India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information. This agreement aims to enhance cooperation in digital technologies, including Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), cybersecurity, 5G, supercomputing, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence. It also sets the groundwork for collaborative efforts in upskilling and reskilling workers to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

2. Semiconductor Ecosystem Partnership: A landmark agreement on semiconductor collaboration was signed between India’s MeitY and Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry. "We also want to create many Singapores in India, and I am happy that we are working together in this direction," PM Modi remarked. The leaders also agreed to elevate their bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which encompasses cooperation in advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitalization, healthcare, skills development, and sustainability.
