In a clear signal of Samsung’s commitment to the Indian market, Vice Chairman and CEO JH Han has visited the company’s Noida factory. This is Han’s second trip to India this year, emphasizing the country’s strategic role in Samsung’s global operations.

During the visit, Han highlighted the Noida facility's crucial role in manufacturing smartphones, tablets, and refrigerators for both domestic and international markets. India, with its vast consumer base and rapidly growing economy, has emerged as a key market for Samsung.

The company’s focus on AI and innovation, as outlined in its “AI for All” vision, is also being prioritized in India. Samsung's R&D centers in Noida and Bengaluru are at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies tailored to Indian consumers.

Han’s visit reinforces Samsung’s dedication to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and its plans to further invest in the country’s technological landscape.

“India is one of the biggest and fastest-growing markets globally and offers a huge opportunity for Samsung,” said Han. “We were among the first companies to invest in India, and I am happy that the Noida factory has emerged as one of our biggest facilities, manufacturing not only for India, but for the world.”

“India has a large population of tech-savvy young consumers that inspire us to innovate,” Han added. “I am proud that many young, enterprising engineers who are playing an important role in the development of AI are working at our R&D centers in India.”
