Cactus Communications (CACTUS), a global leader in science communication and technology, has appointed Akhilesh Ayer as its new CEO. The company’s founder and current CEO, Abhishek Goel, will transition to the role of Chief Mentor while continuing to serve as a board member.

Akhilesh Ayer brings over 25 years of experience in leading global businesses and driving transformation across various industry sectors. His career includes key leadership roles at WNS, GE, and Crisil.

Akhilesh Ayer joins CACTUS from WNS Global Services, where he served as Executive Vice President & Head of the Data, Analytics, AI & Research (Triange) business unit. At WNS, Ayer successfully transformed the business by developing a differentiated go-to-market strategy, optimizing the product-service mix, and fostering a high-performance operational ecosystem. He also played a pivotal role in the business unit's M&A strategy, leading successful acquisitions and integrations.
