Acer India has inaugurated the 'Care For Life' dialysis centre in Bengaluru as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. This facility aims to provide high-quality dialysis care at nominal costs, addressing the increasing demand for kidney treatment in the region.
The centre was inaugurated by Andrew Hou, President of Pan-Asia Pacific, Acer, and Harish Kohli, President and Managing Director of Acer India. Kohli stated that the initiative is a testament to Acer's commitment to improving lives and creating a positive societal impact.
Acer’s CSR initiatives extend beyond the dialysis centre. The company has developed Visionova, a technology-driven solution for children with Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI). Visionova integrates software and hardware to offer innovative treatment options for the condition.
Additionally, Acer has rolled out the “Heal-On-Wheels” project, a mobile healthcare service targeting remote tribal communities. This initiative delivers free medical services, including consultations, medicines, and follow-up care, to over 25,000 individuals annually. These projects highlight Acer’s focus on making healthcare accessible in underserved areas.
Acer is also committed to environmental sustainability through afforestation initiatives. These projects involve planting trees that contribute to rural development by providing produce and other benefits to local communities.
The new dialysis centre reinforces Acer’s dedication to supporting communities and improving healthcare infrastructure. Through such programmes, the company continues to make strides in fostering inclusive growth and enhancing the quality of life for individuals across India.
