Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and PUMA India are partnering to enhance PUMA’s supply chain and distribution network across the country. By applying Accenture’s digital twin technology, this collaboration aims to optimize PUMA’s order fulfillment and reduce operational costs, making deliveries faster and more efficient.
Accenture’s data-driven solution is reimagining PUMA India’s supply chain, from centralized hubs to regional warehouses, to efficiently meet demand across states and union territories. This redesign streamlines fulfillment center layouts, improves material flow, and enables quicker dispatches, ensuring PUMA stays ahead of customer expectations with faster deliveries and reduced shipping expenses.
The technology will be deployed across both eCommerce and offline channels in India, targeting a 70% improvement in delivery speeds and a 10% reduction in supply chain costs. This initiative is also set to double PUMA India’s express delivery capacity for online orders.
Karthik Balagopalan, Managing Director of PUMA India, noted, “As India’s top sports brand in a competitive e-commerce landscape, speed and efficiency are critical for delivering an outstanding customer experience and nurturing loyalty. Partnering with Accenture allows us to develop an analytics-powered, flexible supply chain that scales with the evolving needs of our broad customer base across all tiers.”
Saurabh Kumar Sahu, head of Accenture’s India business, emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative: “Consumers today have a wide range of choices in products, channels, and delivery options. Brands that want to remain competitive need agile, responsive supply chains. This collaboration with PUMA leverages advanced analytics to boost operational efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.”
This partnership also supports PUMA India’s sustainability goals, aiming to reduce carbon emissions by optimizing proximity to consumers and suppliers. Additionally, Accenture has collaborated with logistics partners to equip PUMA’s fulfillment centers with sustainable infrastructure, including solar energy, reusable resources, and EV charging stations.
