Marg Compusoft creates 5000 GST help desk across the country

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is now just a matter of time. With its implementation, the entire tax structure will undergo change and businesses will have to adopt a new system for tax payment which is GST compliant. Marg Compusoft,the provider of Integrated Business Accounting Software, is creating 5000 GST help desk, across the country, to help small businesses transit from the existing system to GST. It is expected that around 8 mn new taxpayers will also be registered. They need to be educated about the new tax regime. Marg Compusoft will train them as well.

All this while, small and medium enterprises (SMEs and MSMEs) had to keep track of various indirect taxes like octroi, central sales tax, tax on transportation of goods and services, state wise VAT, state entry tax, stamp duty charges and many others. With the introduction of the GST there will be an end to all such indirect taxes. So the whole tax filling process will become different. It will have to be GST compliant. This will need knowledge and expertise of GST and IT infrastructure. Small and mid-size businesses will need help on this.

Marg Compusoft has been in the forefront of SME and MSME initiation into GST. In September-October last year, they carried out a mass awareness campaign on GST for their benefit. Now they are setting up 5000 centres across the country with the aim of helping small businesses become GST compliant. This will mean embracing IT into their workflow. Marg Compusoft will facilitate this.
