 L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS), a prominent global engineering services company, has partnered with NVIDIA to introduce advanced software-defined architectures for medical devices, primarily focusing on endoscopy. This joint effort aims to elevate the image quality and scalability of medical products, particularly in medical imaging.

L&T Technology Services with NVIDIA is set to address industry challenges related to the availability, cost, and dependencies associated with custom and proprietary hardware components. The innovative architecture presented by this collaboration is scalable and supports multiple applications, providing a real-time decision-making tool for medical professionals. It features a comprehensive image processing pipeline that includes noise reduction, edge and contrast enhancement, texture and color enhancement, and speckle correction.

Notably, the architecture incorporates AI or ML models designed for the detection, identification, and classification of polyps—abnormal growths often identified during colonoscopies. It's user-friendly interface and seamless integration of the image processing pipeline for visualization contribute to low-latency data transfer, superior image processing, and scalability.

The collaboration harnesses the capabilities of the NVIDIA Holoscan and NVIDIA IGX Orin platforms, offering ultra-low latency in data transfer, superior image processing, and scalability to support various AI-enabled applications. This integration aims to enhance visualization for image processing and AI-based decision-making support, especially in tasks such as polyp detection and classification.
