Donald Trump has emerged as the 45th US president defeating Hillary Clinton by a definite margin. A candidate must secure 270 of the 538 electoral votes for the win. The controversial businessman won by leading with 276 votes against Democrat Hillary Clinton. Contributing to Donald Trump's early lead has been the key states of Florida, North Carolina and Ohio. He even won Iowa, a state which previously voted twice for Democrat Barrack Obama.
Early this morning, the Republican surpassed expectations and confounded pollsters in Florida, where Hillary Clinton had been expected to win following a surge in the Hispanic vote. After this, Hillary Clinton’s well wishers are in a state of shock.
The Republican will take over the White House and set the tone for the foreign policy in a way which can be different from the Obama administration. His victory is totally in contrast to some of the pre-poll predictions. His victory shook stocks of Indian IT companies such as Infosys, TCS and others.
