Jugnoo launches Meals in Jaipur

Jugnoo announces the launch of its ‘Meals’ service in the city of Jaipur, becoming the first on-demand service provider to do so in the Pink city. The service is part of Jugnoo’s bouquet of services in various verticals. Its launch comes just months following its initial launch in the city of Chandigarh on August, 2016.

With the meal service, customers based in Jaipur will be able to choose from a host of different delicacies that will be prepared in Jugnoo’s special in-house kitchen. All meals will be prepared, packaged and delivered by Jugnoo’s team.

Commenting on the launch, Nitish Singh, CFO Jugnoo who is heading Fresh and Meals verticals said, “At Jugnoo, we always strive to come up with unique ideas that can benefit our customers in the long run. With ‘Meals’, we plan to utilize our growing network of auto rickshaws to offer not just commuting, but a range of different services that can make people’s lives easier. Customers can place their meal order between two time slots, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm for Lunch, and 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm for Dinner. What’s more, in the wake of demonetization and subsequent cash crunch being faced by people, Jugnoo enables customers to pay via digital wallets and it’s recently launched UPI enabled payment solution ‘Jugnoo Pay’ – eliminating any cash-related hassles with this unique service. Interestingly, at present in Jaipur, around 70% of transactions are happening via digital payment methods.

Currently, Jugnoo is receiving up to 100 orders per day for its meal service. Its target is to fulfil up to 200 orders per day within a week, and 500 orders per day within a month. It currently has a network span of 1200 autos in Jaipur.
