Fresh online applications for JEE Main 2020 will be accepted from 19 to 24 May 2020. The decision has been taken to encourage students who have dropped the idea to study abroad. This decision was conveyed by Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank the Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development, Government of India.
“Students who dropped the idea to study abroad, here is your chance to pursue your studies in India. I have advised NTA to give one more opportunity to students to submit new/complete online application form for JEE Main 2020. Hurry! Forms available till 24th May,” said the minister.
Due to the COVID-19 situations, several students who were planning to study abroad have had to cancel their plans due to the changed circumstances. Therefore, reopening fresh online applications will enable these students as well as those who have not been able to submit their applications for JEE Main 2020 earlier.
The last date for submission of online application will be 24 May 2020 at 5 pm IST, and online application fee can be paid through credit or debit card, net banking, or UPI modes by 11 pm. JEE Main 2020, which was earlier supposed to be held on 5th, 7th to 9th and 11th April 2020, was postponed by the National Testing Agency due to the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The HRD minister through a webinar held earlier this month confirmed that JEE Mains will now be held on July 18, 20, 21, 22 and 23. More details on the admit cards for JEE Main 2020 and other critical information such as allocation of examination centres will be released by NTA after the submission for online applications closes.
