ISRO recruitment 2022 is being conducted at the Space Physics Laboratory (SPL) for 7 new research associate vacancies

ISRO recruitment 2022 has been announced at the Space Physics Laboratory (SPL) which is centre of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) under the Indian Space Research Organisation. Space Physics Laboratory conducts front ranking research in different disciplines of atmospheric, space, and planetary sciences. SPL is currently on the look-out for 7 new research associates who will be hired initially for one year. Those selected will be paid a starting salary of Rs 47,000 that can be gradually increased to up to Rs 54,000.

Who Can Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2022?

The opportunity is open to PhD holders who have carried out PhD thesis work outside SPL in the areas of atmospheric, space or planetary sciences with good publication record. Applicants need to be mindful of the following pointers:

• Candidates possessing PhD degree awarded by foreign universities or institutions have to submit its equivalency certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
• Only those candidates who have carried out PhD thesis work outside SPL are eligible to apply under this stream.
• A research proposal (not exceeding 2000 words) on the work they intend to carry out at SPL in the domain of SPL's research activity must be submitted along with the application.
• Applicants should not be over 40 years as on the date of application. However, the age group is 43 years for OBC candidates and 45 years in case of SC or ST candidates.

The fellowship will be offered initially for 1 year. Nevertheless, depending on the progress of the work, research output and availability of positions, the fellowship is extendable for the second year, and in exceptional grounds up to 3 years.
