ISRO quiz competition 2019, which seems to have received immense participation from students and professionals alike, has been extended further. The last date for the ISRO quiz competition 2019, which was initially announced to be 20 August 2019, is now 25 August 2019 until 11:59 pm IST. The latest date has been updated on the official MyGov.in website.
“To increase awareness about the space programme, an online quiz competition will be conducted by ISRO in coordination with MyGov.in from 10th August to 25th August, 2019,” says the MyGov.in website. Although the ISRO quiz is being undertaken by students, professionals, and various other citizens of the country the winners who will get to watch the ISRO Chandrayaan 2 landing on the south pole of the moon live along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 7 September 2019 will only be selected from classes 8 to 10.
Two top scoring students from each state and union territory will be invited to the Indian Space Research Organisation, Bengaluru Centre. The students who give the maximum correct answers in the shortest time will be selected as winners, and in case there is a tie random selection will be done, says the website. “How much do you know about India’s space programme? Take part in this interesting Quiz on MyGov. Young friends who score well will get an opportunity to witness the landing of Chandrayaan-2 on the Moon, from the ISRO Centre, Bengaluru,” tweeted PM Narendra Modi.
ISRO quiz question bank will most likely be based on general knowledge and apace science and technology. Students have the option to answer sample questions before taking the actual quiz. Considering the fact that Chandrayaan 2 will land on the moon on 7 September 2019, ISRO quiz results can be expected by the end of the month. Top-scoring students will be asked to provide their parent or guardian’s name, a government issued proof of identity containing the address of the student and an affidavit from the school confirming that they are students of the school. This format of the affidavit will only be shared with the shortlisted participants, says the MyGov website.
Students are also required to register with the MyGov.in website to take part in the ISRO quiz competition 2019. The quiz is being hosted on the MyGov.in official website only, and students are advised to take the help of their parents in order to register in a proper manner.
