DQ: IntelliPaat provides both online learning as well as corporate training. Which of these courses has seen an increase and decrease in demand since the pandemic began?
Diwakar Chittora: During Covid-19 pandemic, several individuals have had trouble finding a job, while numerous others have lost their jobs and are finding it difficult to land a new one. This is mostly due to their lack of skills, and due to the bad times, they identified that upskilling is the only way to keep themselves secure on the job front. Learning skills will lead to good professional growth both in salary and position. As a result, demand for courses in data science, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Analytics and cyber security has surged. As a result of the rise in digitalization, certain skill sets have gained in importance and appeal. The requirement for traditional technologies or skills has seen a decrease like Java, manual testing, etc.
As the world evolves and technology changes the way businesses run, these modern skills have become quite valuable for high-paid jobs. Over the next ten years, AI and machine learning are expected to reverberate across many industries, including healthcare, education, and banking. As a result, more people will be interested in visiting these destinations. Additionally, businesses will be responsible for upskilling their employees and reinventing learning in a way that integrates them into the workflow. So, the demand for corporate learning is also increasing exponentially. As per Intellipaat, we have witnessed good traction on these courses from both B2C as well as B2B end.
DQ: Who are the IntelliPaat trainers, and who creates the courses?
Diwakar Chittora: IntelliPaat hires subject matter experts with at least 8 years of experience in their respective fields. The trainers are on boarded after following a strict onboarding process which involves technical evaluation, teaching skills and their commitment for providing world class education.
We have our internal team who creates the courses in consultation with top industry experts. As part of the whole process, we make sure the course is in line with creating employability, as well as help the learner to get into their dream jobs in the shortest time. A lot of assignments, quiz, project works, hackathons, etc., are arranged for the learners to give them real world exposure. We do provide 24*7 online support to our learners to help them learn anytime and anywhere.
DQ: Over 150 courses in areas like big data, data science, business intelligence, databases, analytics, and cloud computing are available through Intellipaat. Did Intellipaat create new courses?
Diwakar Chittora: We keep expanding our courses portfolio and added a lot of courses in the past like business analyst, in association with IIBA, cyber security, digital marketing, Google Cloud, UX/UI design, full stack web development, etc.
Also, we recently launched degree programs like MBA, MCA, MS, etc. from the global universities, in partnership with top Indian and global universities.
DQ: "Modular learning" and "stackable learning," according to edX's creator, are the future of education. Do you see Intellipaat users taking short courses (as needed) and 'stacking' them?
Diwakar Chittora: At IntelliPaat, we provide both short- and long-term courses focused on career transition rather than vocational training. As a result, the bulk of our courses are meant to prepare students for employment in the specific industry in which they are being taught, in the unique talent for which the course is developed. We provide courses that last anywhere from 4-6 months, 6-9 months, and degree programs for 1 to 2 yrs , with the majority of them focusing on career transfer.
The EdX courses, on the other hand, are more focused on imparting knowledge than teaching practical skills that are needed on the job. People are certainly interested in taking courses that help them improve their knowledge and advance their careers. At Intellipaat, we focus primarily on helping our learners develop their careers and prepare them for professional success. We provide high engagement and outcome centric Learning along with hands on exercises with Industry use cases which make them industry ready.
DQ: Do you believe that training companies like Intellipaat are luring students and learners away from business schools (those who might otherwise take a one-year MBA for professional advancement)?
Diwakar Chittora: Yes! Our courses are more result oriented with less duration and it comes with almost at a fraction of the cost as compared to MBA degree programs. Also, the professionals can take our courses without quitting their full-time jobs. Hence, it’s a great win-win situation for professionals taking our courses and landing into their dream jobs in a short span of time.
So, we believe that students are more likely to choose online training courses to fulfill their dreams, rather than spending so much on offline degrees.
