Infosys and NIVIDA, a US-based chip maker company have announced the expansion of their strategic partnership, in a move to make advances in the field of generative AI applications and solutions. This partnership between the companies is aimed at empowering enterprises globally with advanced generative AI capabilities to boost productivity and revolutionize business operations.
Infosys has harnessed the full stack power of NVIDIA's generative AI platform to leverage both its hardware and enterprise-grade software to drive innovation across its various business sectors. This alliance will assist customers in creating generative AI applications designed for diverse business functions that include operations, sales, and marketing.
One of the key highlights of this partnership is integrating Infosys' Video Analytics platform with NVIDIA's Metropolis. It is a joint move that promises to transform the retail industry.
This collaboration focuses on how to tackle challenges such as enhancing the retail shopping experience, optimizing merchandising and planogram compliance, reducing inventory shrinkage, real-time inventory monitoring, ensuring health and safety, and more by harnessing computer vision technology. Moreover, the partnership also extends its benefits to the logistics, manufacturing, and utilities sectors.
The collaboration between Infosys Generative AI Labs and NVIDIA's NeMo framework is set to accelerate the deployment of large language models (LLMs) customized for a wide range of enterprise applications. This offers a cost-effective and highly scalable platform which further solidifies Infosys' position in the AI landscape.
"Infosys is transforming into an AI-first company to provide AI-based services to our clients worldwide. Our clients are also looking at complex AI use cases that can drive significant business value across their entire value chain. Infosys Topaz offerings and solutions are complementary to NVIDIA’s core stack. By combining our strengths and training 50,000 of our workforce on NVIDIA AI technology, we are creating end-to-end industry-leading AI solutions that will help enterprises on their journey to become AI-first,” said Nandan Nilekani, Co-founder and Chairman, of Infosys.
“Generative AI will drive the next wave of enterprise productivity gains. The NVIDIA AI Enterprise ecosystem is ramping up quickly to provide the platform for generative AI. Together, NVIDIA and Infosys will create an expert workforce to help businesses use this platform to build custom applications and solutions,” said Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO, of NVIDIA.
With the implementation of NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails, Infosys is going to build robust intelligent practices that safeguard against potential generative AI risks including issues of intellectual property infringement, bias, toxicity, hallucinations, and security threats.
Infosys has also embarked on the development of AI-driven next-generation contact center solutions using its Infosys Cortex platform which is coupled with NVIDIA's Riva speech and translation AI. These innovative solutions include language neutralization features for seamless multilingual support and equipping contact center representatives with real-time customer intent and sentiment analysis tools.
The collaboration between these companies extends beyond these applications, encompassing digitalization solutions with a focus on various enterprise use cases ranging from 3D workflows and design collaboration to digital twins, world simulation, and more.
