On Saturday, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan unveiled AI for India 2.0, a free online course that teaches artificial intelligence skills in Indian languages, in honour of World Youth Skills Day. This NCVET and IIT Madras recognised online programme, a collaborative Skill India and GUVI project, would give youth frontier skills. A tech platform, GUVI, developed by IIT Madras, allows for studying technology in local languages. Nine Indian languages have been used to curate this broadcast.

He expressed happiness that GUVI has taken the initiative to introduce cutting-edge technologies to the folks at the base of the pyramid. 

Pradhan emphasised the value of removing language barriers from technological education in his speech. He emphasised that technology shouldn't be restricted to one language and called for expanding technology courses in several Indian languages. In his opinion, this action will help India's youth—especially those who live in rural areas—be future-proof by giving them equal access to cutting-edge technological expertise.

The minister praised India's effective adoption of digital payments as evidence of its technological prowess. He commended  GUVI for stepping forward to educate the poor community at the local level and equipping them with knowledge of cutting-edge technologies. Pradhan praised GUVI, an IIT Madras-incubated tech platform, for its efforts in developing this programme in nine Indian languages. GUVI aspires to spread AI education nationwide by providing instruction in regional tongues.
