IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation has joined hands with Sony India Software Centre Pvt. Ltd to introduce a comprehensive training program for engineering students. This program is aimed at enhancing the technical skills of engineering college students and providing students with industry-ready expertise in specific domains that include
- Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (AI/ML)
- Product Security
- Computer graphics
The training curriculum covers essential aspects of AI/ML, product security, and computer graphics to ensure students gain practical and hands-on experience in these specialized fields.
The Finishing School Training Program is a joint effort by IIT Madras Pravartak and Sony India which will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry demands.
The upcoming batch of the training program is set to commence in the third week of January 2024 with the application deadline being 10 January 2024. “This program was offered in 2023 in similar technologies. Most of the students got placed in top IT/ITES organizations and start-ups. We plan to extend this program in 2024 aiming to benefit deserving learners nationwide. What are the eligibility criteria for applicants?
Candidates willing to join the training program need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
- Must possess an Engineering degree in ECE, CSE, and EEE degree (only) with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
- The training is open to students who graduated in 2021-2022 and 2022-23, and eligible students may receive a stipend.
- Selection criteria include academic performance, parental income, and performance in an entrance exam on an aptitude/analytical test followed by an interview.
- Entrance Examinations will be conducted at Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra centers.
- The total number of students selected will be restricted to 30.
