IIT Kharagpur has announced that its Young Innovators Program team is soon going to conduct a webinar for students from class 8 to 10 to help them prepare projects for sci-tech competitions. Interested students can register for the webinar, which will be conducted on 31 July 2019 on Facebook.
IIT Kharagpur recently announced the third edition of its Young Innovators Program 2019 (YIP) and the online applications for the program have already begun on 18 July 2019, and students can apply for the same until 9 August 2019.
The themes for Young Innovators Program 2019 are Disaster management, Hardware modeling, product designing, energy and environment, health and cleanliness, and financial inclusion, and interested students need to prepare a project pertaining to the same.
Students from class 8 to 10 can participate in the program, and a group of students consisting of two to three members needs to be formed. The names and other details of the students need to be submitted by the coordinating teacher assigned by the principal of the school.
Innovative programs such as anti-pollution mask by the Kaanger Valley Academy, an alternative way to quickly and efficiently fill potholes by The Crossword School, and Smart Waste Management by the Tarapore School have been declared winners of the Young Innovators Program in the past.
Students interested in taking part in the Facebook Webinar to be organized by IIT Kharagpur Young Innovators Program team, need to register themselves " target="_blank" rel="noopener">on the link provided. The webinar will be conducted on 31 July 2019 at 3 PM IST. IIT Kharagpur has been conducting the Young Innovators Program since 2017, and over 740 students have registered for the event so far.
