IIT Kharagpur Offers Free Online Course on Internet of Things, Students Can Apply

IIT Kharagpur has invited applications fro students for a 12-week free online course on Internet of Things on the NPTEL platform

IIT Kharagpur has announced a free online course on Internet of Things that covers the fundamentals of this emerging technology. Both students and professionals can enrol for the 12-week course on the SWAYAM NPTEL provided they have basic programming knowledge. The course provides as understanding of Internet of Things to participants as the government, academia, and industry are involved in different aspects of research, implementation, and business with IoT. While the course is free to enrol and lear from, those who wish to obtain certificates from IIT Kharagpur and NPTEL will have to pay Rs 1000, and take an examination on 29 October 2022.

The course is being conducted by Dr. Sudip Misra who is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Prior to this he was associated with Cornell University (USA), Yale University (USA), Nortel Networks (Canada) and the Government of Ontario (Canada). He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada. He has several years of experience working in the academia, government, and the private sectors in research, teaching, consulting, project management, architecture, software design and product engineering roles.

Important Details of the IIT Kharagpur Free Online Course on Internet of Things

The course will be conducted from 25 July to 14 October 2022, and the last date to enrol for it is 1 August 2022. The certificates will be provided to participants who pay Rs 1000, and take an examination, and it will consist of the name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup.
