IIT Kanpur Announces Six New Online PG Programs: Check Details

IIT Kanpur, one of the country's most famous engineering universities, has launched six new online programs for postgraduate (PG) students. Candidates wishing to apply for one of these six programs may visit the official website at masters.iitk.ac.in. IIT Kanpur Launches New Postgraduate Programmes

As previously stated, IIT Kanpur has launched six new postgraduate programs to be delivered online. Three of these online postgraduate programs will be offered by the Department of Management Sciences. They are as follows:

• Data Science and Business Analytics: Data Science involves using scientific methods, algorithms, processes, and systems to extract meaningful insights and knowledge from vast and complex datasets. Business Analytics aids organisations in making more informed choices, improving customer experiences, and gaining a competitive edge in the marketplace.
• Financial Technology and Management: FinTech encompasses a wide range of technological innovations to enhance and streamline financial services.
• Power Sector Regulation, Economics and Management: The power sector is a complex and critical component of any modern economy, and its effective functioning relies on three interrelated pillars: regulation, economics, and management. The other three are master's Degrees offered by the Department of Economics. Management in the power sector is about efficiently operating and maintaining the infrastructure.

Important Details of IIT Kanpur Online PG Programs

According to the official website, registration for the postgraduate degrees is open through the end of this month; the registration deadline is 31 October. Candidates interested in applying should visit masters.iitk.ac.in. Classes are set to commence in January 2024. According to an official release from IIT Kanpur, the eMasters degree programs are executive-friendly and can be studied without interrupting professional careers because completion times range from one to three years.

In terms of its admissions process, IIT-K will not require GATE results. Participants in these degrees will be able to use a credit transfer system, which will allow them to transfer up to 60 credits for continued education at the institute. In addition, students get access to the IIT Kanpur Placement Cell, Incubation Cell, and Alumni Network.
