IIT Bombay has invited applications from graduates from non-technical streams for a one year apprenticeship training at the institute
IIT Bombay has announced 20 new apprenticeship training vacancies for graduates from the non-technical streams. Selected candidates will be given on the job training for one year, and will be engaged under the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961. While those selected will not be given any accommodation or travel allowance, they may use free OPD facility at IIT Bombay in case emergency arises. Those selected will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 9000.
Who Can Apply for IIT Bombay Apprenticeship?
The notification from IIT Bombay says that there are 20 new apprentice vacancies for which candidates from the following streams can apply:
- Arts.
- Commerce.
- Business administration.
- Mangement science.
- Business studies.
Only applicants who have passed their qualifying examinations after April 2020 can apply. Candidates who have already registered, undergone or undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere cannot apply. Furthermore, the minimum age of the candidate should be over 18 years. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the apprenticeship on the basis of merit.
Documents Required by IIT Bombay Upon Selection
Students who get selected for the apprenticeship training will have to produce the following documents:
- Tenth or twelfth passing certificate or mark sheet.
- Qualifying exam passing certificate and mark sheet.
- Date of birth certificate or birth date proof.
- Caste certificate if applicable.
- Two passport size photographs.
- PAN Card.
- Aadhaar Card.
How to Apply for IIT Bombay Apprenticeship?
Interested and eligible candidates will have to submit applications through the dedicated form before 20 April 2022. Selected candidates will have to join the apprenticeship training program before 7 days of issuing the joining letter otherwise the candidature will be cancelled says IIT Bombay.
