IESA Vision Summit 2016 - the countdown begins

The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) is the premier trade body committed to the development of a vibrant Indian Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) ecosystem and evangelizing the dream of establishing “Brand India” that is recognized worldwide as a go-to destination for electronic products. Its vision is to bring the Indian industry, government and academia on a common platform and jointly work towards developing and promoting Made-in-India products for the global markets.

With the current government’s digital push and the ‘Make in India’ campaign, this year's  IESA’s Vision Summit, which is into its 11^th year is expected to garner significance traction among the ESDM players in the country.

Vinay Shenoy, Chairman, IESA reflects on the IESA site that: “ After the very successful 10th Vision Summit 2015 which  saw was attended by over 800 participants including 50+ world class speakers, 70+ startups, 70+ academicians,  enthusiastic participation from 25+ government officials including two chief ministers and two state IT ministers, IESA is now close to this year’s Vision Summit 2016 which is expected to be on even a larger scale. Vision Summit 2016 which is scheduled on Feb 3rd and 4th at Leela Palace, Bangalore will surpass all our and your expectations and continue to make strides in our vision of converting India into an ESDM manufacturing hub.

Sources in IESA say that this year’s Vision Summit is expected to be the biggest Vision Summit ever with  attendees consisting of representatives from central and state government, C-Level Executives, professors, technicians, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, etc. Global and national leaders like Nicholas Brathwaite, Founding Partner, Riverwood Capital, Jeannine Sargent, President, Innovation and New Ventures, Flextronics, Mark Re, Global CTO, Seagate Technology, BVR Reddy, CMD, Cyient & Nasscom Chairman, Tony King-smith, EVP, Imagination, Samir Patel, CEO, Sankalp Semiconductors, Chetan Maini, Dr. Kiranmai, Head – HR, AMD and many others are scheduled to deliver keynote addresses and involved in detailed panel discussion debating on the key issues, challenges, recommendations, etc on specific topics related to the ESDM sector.

From the Government, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce, Govt. of India and many others are expected to deliver their thoughts and discuss various initiatives at the event.
