They might also learn about price trends that may allow them to make informed decisions about when to secure their tickets.
Price Tracking
"You can set up tracking for specific dates, like your best friend’s destination wedding in February. Or, if you’re more flexible, you can turn on “Any dates" price tracking to receive emails about deals anytime in the next three to six months. To enable this feature, make sure you’re logged into your Google account," the blog post explained.
Google explained that by enabling price tracking travelers will automatically receive notifications if flight prices experience a significant drop. This means users of Google Flightscan stay vigilant for the best deals without constantly refreshing the search.
Price Guarantee badge
The travelers will notice a colorful price guarantee badge for certain flight results. These badges signify that the fare displayed will not decrease before the departure date giving travelers peace of securing a great deal.
Optimal Booking Times
Google has also shared insights into the best times to book flights for specific occasions."Average prices tend to be lowest 71 days before departure," the blog post reveals.
For travelers heading from the United States to Europe, Google recommends booking flights 72 days or more before the departure date. "Average airfares from the U.S. to Europe only tend to increase over time, especially once you’re about 10 weeks from departure," the post cautions.
Hence, with these insightful tools and tips from Google Flights, travelers can navigate the complexity of airfare booking with greater confidence and potential to make significant savings.
