At the Google I/O conference, Google showed why it continues to march ahead of the competition. Google announced that over 4,000 apps have been developed specifically for Google's wearable platform, Android Wear. The platform features new apps such as Uber, Foursquare and City Mapper.
For example, with Uber, you could just say, "Call a car" and order a car. The location of the car is automatically displayed on your smartwatch without the need to open the app on your smartphone. Similarly, a Ford App lets you see the location of your car, which is useful if you are in a huge parking lot. Other interesting apps include Golf Swing Analyzer, which uses your smartwatch's gyroscope to measure the angle and speed of your swing.
Indian firms like ICICI Bank, Flipkart and Paytm have already created apps for the Android Wear platform.
