Going Digital - what does it mean to you and your organization?
For my organization, Going Digital means shifting gradually from a traditional way of doing business to move more towards SMAC with an extension of two more features - consumerization of IT and implementation of Big Data. With these six ingredients, any organization can go digital in today’s world. For me going digital is a new way of engaging with customers.
The term “Social” in a digital world is a tool. For example, Facebook, Twitter, etc. are all tools and we need to use it to interact with customers, both, proactively and responsively. Similarly, other remaining terms of SMAC are set of tools which we need to use in our business for digital transformation.
What is your Digital Transformation plan, strategy and the deliverables you expect or already coming in?
As we are already implemented cloud technology and some part of SMAC, we are much closer to our fully digital goal. Our forthcoming strategy is to transform the business towards 100% digital, implement Big Data and other digital tools and move more towards digitization gradually.
Our deliverables include digital marketing plan for long-term roadmaps, set objectives for future online contribution, identify and prioritise target audiences, encourage online usage of the channel, selecting the best mix of digital media to meet our goals of customer acquisition and retention are some of the parts of our digital transformation strategies that are under pipeline and some are expecting in near future.
