Says Gaurang Shetty “This participation of RiiDL with Facebook Developer Circle in Mumbai, is part of our commitment to encourage innovation. Besides organising regular offline events, manage a local online community, and hosting meet-ups, we will have an outreach program to connect with education institutions across Mumbai to create a platform that will enable an interested student, an avid coder, or even an industry professional, to connect, learn and discuss Facebook’s tools. They can then use the knowledge garnered to collaborate and build new tools as a team effort. Facebook Developer Circles will cater to the needs and wants of every like-minded individual.”
Says Provost Somaiya Vidyavihar “In times when technology changes rapidly, it offers great opportunities for entrepreneurship. As an education institution, we see our role as creating platforms for collaboration as an important aspect of knowledge building. Our youth are incredibly talented, and enabling this talent is an important aspect of RiiDL.”
