Delivering exceptional experiences necessitates a holistic and inclusive approach to innovation. By fostering continuous and real-time relationships among diverse stakeholders, we create an environment where ideas thrive, and breakthroughs occur. Leveraging virtual twin experiences enables dynamic experimentation within ecosystems, allowing us to test and develop new offerings in real-time.
To foster human-centric innovation, the Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE Forum Asia Pacific South 2023 explored stories from customers and industry leaders on how the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its applications can cultivate a collaborative environment that sparks innovation, generates fresh insights, and propels the advancement of knowledge and understanding regarding the pressing challenges and opportunities in the world.
Sustainable product thinking
Bernard Charles, Chairman and CEO, Dassault Systèmes, spoke about experience the digital twin for a sustainable economy. Clients are relying on Dassault Systèmes to virtualize their businesses and create differentiating, sustainable offerings. Virtual twin experiences, based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, and governed by a cyber-system approach, offer a unique combination of modeling, simulation, real data and artificial intelligence to enable our clients to increase business value, improve competitiveness and generate a sustainable impact.
Charles said that we want to place your company way ahead of competitors. Together, we want to be the catalyst and enabler of the sustainable economy in the 21st century. The convergence of experienced economy and secular economy is now taking place. This means the shifting of product thinking to create sustainable use. This provides a challenge, as well as an opportunity. We can leverage mutual work to improve the real world.
Dassault Systèmes brings in over 40 years of designing, using, producing, etc. We are bringing 3D Cloud Experience platform on industry solutions and experiences. You can increase the resiliency and improve agility. Dassault provides solutions that are sustainable, achieve supply chain continuity, etc. The industry renaissance is happening, and it is now!
We cover industries, from manufacturing to life sciences, etc. There are many success stories that we are going to replicate. Asia Pacific plays an important role in the transition to a more sustainable world. One of our goals is for EVs to represent about 30% of annual production by 2030. We help mining companies, for example, PT Freeport, Indonesia to diversify to new ecosystems. We are helping trains in Sydney, Australia to achieve sustainability in supply chain logistics.
In life sciences, we have Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI), University of Sydney, Novotech, etc. We believe this area can become a major hub for medical research in future. We believe that sustainability is about connecting the dots. We also apply predictive AI to sustainability. Dassault Systèmes is proud to be leading on the road to sustainability.
We need to have virtual twins for sustainability. First, we must have renewable energy and materials. We need sustainable materials and decarbonized energy. Examples are Cementos Argos in sustainable mining, and UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) in nuclear fusion energy. Virtual twins have benefits such as optimizing resources use, reducing waste, and increase cost savings.
Sustainability's moment has arrived!
Ms. Florence Verzelen, Executive VP, Industry, Marketing & Sustainability, Dassault Systèmes, talked about how virtual twin technologies can help you rethink products, processes, and even business models to realize radically new sustainable innovations.
There has never been a better moment for sustainability! It has become prime for companies. 95% of CEOs report being at least in the piloting stage of implementing their sustainability strategy. Technology is going to be key in your sustainability strategy. We are moving to a sustainable and resilient future.
We can foster a sustainable economy. Three steps are involved -- sustainable manufacturing, eco-design, and recycle-ability. Each one of these steps are achievable. There are sustainability plans in Asia Pacific. Countries such as Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and New Zealand, have sustainability plans in place.
BN Paribas reported that investors in Apac are considerably more committed to reaching net-zero goals. Sustainable operations are also possible for production and logistics. Examples are Irizar Group in next-generation buses and coaches, and Kiwi Rail, which has streamlined process with Delmia Quintic.
So, how can we foster sustainable innovation ecosystems? There is EECONE, the circular ecosystem, and European Ecosystem for Green Electronics. EECONE is paving the way as a first step toward a zero-waste electronic industry. The "6R concept will fully guide EECONE". These are -- reduce, reliability, repair, reuse, refurbish, recycle. 448 entities have already joined the initiative.
A tsunami of money is being directed at ESG investments, says Piyush Gupta, Group CEO, DBS, Singapore's largest bank.
