DRDO recruitment 2019 for engineers is being conducted, and this time it is for the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s laboratory in Chandigarh, Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL). The candidates would be selected for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) based on a walk-in-interview. Selected candidates will be placed in the DRDO laboratory for a period of two years and will be eligible for a salary of Rs 31,000.
Who Can Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?
As per the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification, there are a DRDO JRF vacancies available of which one DRDO JRF Vacancy requires the following eligibility criteria: BE or BTech in mechanical engineering in first division with NET/GATE qualification OR ME or MTech in mechanical engineering in first division in both graduate and postgraduate level.
The second DRDO JRF vacancy is for candidates with a or BTech in electronics and communication engineering in first division with NET/GATE qualification, or ME or MTech in electronics and communication engineering in first division in both graduate and postgraduate level.
Furthermore, candidates should not exceed 28 years of age as on 10 July 2019. However, the age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC and ST, and 3 years for OBC candidates as per government rules, says the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification. The notification also clearly mentions that the offer of fellowship does not confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO under any circumstances as fellowship is not employment.
DRDO also issued recently, a notification for engagement of 30 Apprenticeship Trainees in one of its laboratories.
How to Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?
Interested candidates who fulfill the required eligibility criteria can apply for a walk-in-interview bwing conducted on the following dates: mechanical engineering candidates on 23 July 2019 at 11 am IST and electronics and communication engineering candidates on 24 July 2019 at 11 am, says the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification.
Candidates need to bring typewritten applications along with complete biodata and attested certificates addressed to Director, Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Sector 30 Chandigarh (UT) along with a recent passport-size photograph affixed on the right top corner of the first page of application and a crossed Indian Postal Order amounting to Rs 10 drawn in favour of the Director, TBRL, Sector 30, Chandigarh. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC are exempted from this payment.
Candidates need to also bring one Photo Identity Card issued by any government department in original such as Aadhaar card, Drivng license, Passport, Voter ID and so on at the time of interview. Applications will be accepted up to 10 am on the dates mentioned above, after which screening and verification of testimonials will be done between 10 and 11 am. Interview of the screened and shortlisted candidates will take place from 11 am onwards.
