DRDO Jobs: 494 Vacancies for Science & Engineering Graduates, Salary Offered Rs 50,000

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of the Government of India has extended its deadline for job seekers to apply for 494 vacancies for the post of Senior Technical Assistant. Although the crucial date for eligibility was 29 August 2018, the last date for submitting online applications has been extended to 13 September 2018 up to 5 pm IST, says the DRDO CEPTAM website.

The candidates must have acquired the essential qualification requirement (EQR), which is Bachelor’s degree in science or three years Diploma in engineering or technology or computer science, or allied subjects in the required discipline as on crucial date of eligibility for the posts they are applying. Candidates who are still awaiting their results are not eligible to apply for the jobs.

DRDO also emphasizes on the need to have a workforce that reflects gender balance and therefore is encouraging women to apply for the jobs. Job applications are being invited from automobile, chemical, civil, electronics, mechanical, and electronics engineering students. Computer Science, Botany, Geology Zoology and Mathematics graduates can also apply for the jobs openings in DRDO. The candidates applying for the job must be of 18 to 28 years of age.

The date of examinations for the posts will be held in two parts namely Tier 1 and 2, which are both computer based. The test will be objective type multiple choice questions the medium of which will be in Hindi and English languages. The Tier 1 test will be of 150 marks and that of Tier 2 will be 100 marks.
