DRDO Invites Applications for 53 Project Engineer Vacancies with Salary of Rs 50,000

DRDO has invited applications from engineers for 53 new Project Engineer vacancies available at the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA). ADA is a centre of the Defence Research and Development Organisation involved in the design and development of both the Air Force and naval versions of the light combat aircraft Tejas and LCA Mark‐II. Selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 50,000, which may be increased up to Rs 70,000 for experienced candidates.

Selected candidates will be engaged on a defined limited tenure basis to work on the design, development, testing and evaluation of various systems, sub‐systems and project management at the DRDO centre. Only online applications are being accepted at present, and eligible candidates may submit applications before 8 September 2023 on the Recruitment and Assessment website. 

Who Can Apply for the DRDO Vacancies at ADA?

The official notification says that candidates with a first class bachelor’s degree in engineering from the following streams may apply for Project Engineer vacancies:

• Mechanical engineering.
• Production engineering.
• Industrial production engineering.
• Aeronautical engineering.
• Aerospace engineering.
• Electronics engineering.
• Electronics and telecommunication engineering.
• Electronics and communication engineering.
• Computer science engineering
• Information science engineering.
• Electronics and instrumentation.
• Instrumentation and control engineering.
• Electrical and electronics engineering.

Candidates with an ME or MTech degree in the above mentioned streams will be preferred, and it is also mandatory for applicants to have 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in the above mentioned streams. The notification also mentions that DRDO will engage Project Engineers on a limited tenure basis for a maximum duration of five years only and initially the offer for engagement will be issued for three years.

How to Apply for the DRDO Vacancies at ADA?

Candidates need to apply for the DRDO posts on the RAC website by first registering with the portal by providing their mobile number, email address and password. Upon registering, applicants will then have to fill and submit the online application available on the website. The relevant certificates and marks cards will also have to be uploaded while submitting the applications. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for further selection process on the basis of their eligibility, and a preliminary online interview will be conducted. The notification mentions that the final selection of candidates will be purely on the basis of merit of marks scored by a candidate in the final personal interview.
