Going Digital - what does it mean to you and your organization?
Going digital is no more an option for enterprises today; rather it is an expectation both internally as well as for any external interactions. The practice of medicine is as old as humanity itself and it has continued to evolve through the ages. The digital transformation provides new opportunities for improvement in healthcare service delivery and improved efficiency for a better and more satisfying outcome for patients as well as the providers.
The digital platform opens up various segments for healthcare to use such as Big Data Analytics including Predictive Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, NLP, Cognitive Computing, Deep and Machine Learning to name a few.
Further, along with IoT, Hyper Automation Miniaturization, Robotics and the advent of 5G and beyond, a vast new toolset is at the disposal of organizations to leverage and deliver better outcomes as mentioned earlier along with opening up even new revenue streams that were not in reach earlier.
What is your Digital Transformation plan, strategy and the deliverables you expect or are already coming in?
The Digital space is evolving right in front of our eyes with innovations and new use cases being published at an amazing frequency. In the Healthcare provider space like us, how to leverage some of these new opportunities is not as daunting a task as it may seem as long as one collaborates with right partners and does some out of the box thinking. Healthcare generates a massive amount of data such as clinical, billing and purchase to name a few. We at Wockhardt Hospitals are already using Big Data Analytics using a sophisticated BI tool hyper-automation for reporting, predictive analytics, new insights and decision making for the cost of various services rendered at all our hospitals. Next project we are getting into is in the space of clinical data analysis such that we can not only have a very crisp understanding of each of our patients digitally but also to be able to provide customized communication, services and thus resulting in revenue growth. Plans are also being drawn to look at the Supply chain process through advanced computing as well.
