Physical Research Laboratory a unit of the Department of Space is inviting applications for positions of Research Associate (RA-I) and Project Associate (PA-I) under the J.C. Bose National Fellowship Research Grant funded by the Department of Science and Technology(DST), Government of India. Who can apply for the positions?

There are some educational as well as other criteria set by the organization in terms to pick the perfect candidates for them.

Project Associate -I 2 MSc in Physics with minimum 60% marks as an average of all semesters or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.0 on 10 points scale or equivalent. Maximum 35 years
Research Associate - I 1 PhD in Physics/Chemistry or related fields with M.Sc. 60% marks Maximum 35 years

Apart from educational qualifications candidates having experience in the modeling and data analysis of various Mars satellites in the fields of atmosphere or ionosphere and climate will be preferred for the position of Research Associate.

 In a similar manner, candidates having knowledge in mathematics or solid-state physics, graphic plotting, MATLAB, and IDL will be the choice for project associate.

Candidates who are interested in applying for the position can send their latest Curriculum Vitae that includes their educational qualifications from the 10th onwards, list of publications, research experience, etc. along with scanned copies of relevant documents via email to the project investigator.  Applications will be accepted till 1 August 2023.

Here, it should be noted that the position is entirely contractual and will be for a period of one year, although there are possibilities of extension for an additional two years based on the performance of candidates.
