Cyient to support GIGAWorld Broadband Rollout

Cyient, a global provider of engineering, manufacturing, data analytics, network and operations solutions, has been selected by Liberty Global, the world’s largest international cable TV and broadband company, to support its new GIGAWorld initiative to bring Gigabit broadband speeds to its operations in Europe.

Announced last November, Liberty Global’s GIGAWorld initiative seeks to bring broadband speeds of one gigabit and more to tens of millions of households across Europe. Around 50 million homes in Europe have access to Liberty Global’s fiber-based “GIGAReady” networks today. Liberty Global expects that millions more will be connected over the coming years.

With capabilities in delivering FTTP (fiber-to-the-premise) and HFC (hybrid-fiber coaxial) planning and design services, Cyient will support Liberty Globalin its goal for faster provisioning of next-generation broadband services to existing and new customers.
