Thousands of daily visitors at DLF CyberHub in Gurugram will now be able to pay for parking using MobiKwik, Indian mobile wallet major; saving time and doing away with the need to use currency notes.
MobiKwik is on a mission to help people overcom the challenges of cash crunch and demonetization. CyberHub is a premium socialising zone that has food and entertainment at its core. The destination faced the brunt of shortage of physical currency as its parking did not accept any digital payments till now. To begin with, MobiKwik has activated the entire parking bay at bustling CyberHub that connects Gurugram and New Delhi and clocks about 25,000 footfalls a day.
Mrinal Sinha, Chief Operating Officer of MobiKwik, said, “The initiative will save visitors from the hassle of standing in long queues for payment and stress to pay change in cash. It will ease the exercise of parking and help commuters overcome the challenge of cash crunch. MobiKwik is honoured to support a cashless India and urges people to transact with e-wallets and digital money as much as possible.”
Post-demonetisation, MobiKwik has taken some initiatives including a tie-up with the National Highways Authority of India allowing commuters to pay toll charges using MobiKwik. MobiKwik payments are also accepted across major petrol pumps in India.
