The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) a statutory body functional under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has announced the recruitment of 74 Consultants under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP). The positions offered by the organization are on a contractual basis and provide an opportunity for individuals with expertise in environmental engineering and pollution control to contribute to a cleaner environment.

The positions offered by CPCB have been divided into three categories including

Categories No.of vacancies Educational Qualification
Consultant 'A' 19 Consultants should have
(i)Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/ Technology/ Science or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/ Technology with good knowledge of M.S. Office
(ii) experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/control for a period of more than 3 and up to 5 years.
OR
The Retired Government Employees with
(i) Grade pay of Rs. 4600/- (Level-7) and above and knowledge of M.S. Office
(ii) experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/control for a period of more than 3 years up to 5 years.
Consultant 'B' 52 Consultants should have
(i) Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/ Technology /Science or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/ Technology with good knowledge of M.S. Office
(ii) experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/ control for a period of more than 5 and up to 10 years.
OR
The Retired Government Employees with
(i) Grade pay of Rs. 6600/- (Level- 11) and above and knowledge of M.S. Office
(ii) experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/control for a period of more than 5 years up to 10 years.
Consultant 'C' 3 Consultants should have
(i) Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/ Technology / Science or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/ Technology or Ph.D. in the field of Environmental Science/Engineering/ Technology and
(ii) experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/control for a period of more than 10 years up to 15 years.
OR
Retired Government Employees with
(i) Grade pay of Rs.8700/- (Level-13) and above and
(ii) experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/control for a period of more than 10 years up to 15 years.
