Barco recently participated at the 5th Annual Conference of Breast Imaging Society, India (BISICON) , which took place at the Holiday Inn Resort in Goa between September 22 and September 24, 2017. The conclave gave Barco an opportunity to demonstrate its clear leadership in the healthcare segment with its market-leading radiology and mammography displays, Coronis Fusion 6MP and Coronis Uniti.
Barco displays were also used in a workshop at the event, which featured 200 radiologists reporting on the performance of the displays. Additional Coronis Uniti, Coronis Fusion, and Nio displays were showcased at stalls by Barco business partners. This included prominent industry names like Agfa Healthcare, Medecom, Modi Medicare, Siemens, and Metaltronica for various PACS and Mammography Tomosynthesis applications.
“Image quality, precision, and ergonomics – these aspects are critical for radiologists in medical reading rooms to make an accurate diagnosis,” said Rajiv Bhalla, MD, Barco India. “Our association with BISICON 2017 as a silver sponsor gave us an opportunity to highlight how our superior medical display solutions such as Coronis can help in optimizing reading room productivity and in ensuring higher diagnostic accuracy for better patient outcomes.”
Superior Imaging, Unparalleled Performance: Barco Coronis Uniti
Currently the only medical display that offers a unified workflow for PACS and breast imaging, Barco’s Coronis Uniti is unique in its representation of calibrated colours and grayscales. It is capable of displaying both static and dynamic imaging, as well as offering remarkable 2D and 3D capabilities. This first-of-its-kind integrated display solution replaces all image reading configurations, eliminating the need for multi-head display setups and different workstations.
Its 12MP, 33” display is calibrated to meet the DICOM standard for grayscales and to guarantee consistent, perceptually linear colour – an industry first. It is ergonomically designed to mirror the natural field of vision for humans and additionally features a unique aspect ratio and Fusion form factor. This creates the perfect canvas for side-by-side comparison of multiple high-resolution images. Its high brightness and contrast also enable superior image clarity, making it possible to represent the smallest details on screen with perfect precision.
Barco Coronis Fusion 6MP
The Barco Coronis Fusion 6MP, on the other hand, features an exclusive LCD panel with the latest IPS technology to offer best-in-class imaging. Along with a large 30” screen, wide aspect ratio, and full ACR compliance, the display comes with smart features for better control and productivity. It can bring together images of multiple types on a single screen for uninterrupted workflow and multimodality imaging. Like all of Barco's medical display systems, the Coronis Fusion 6MP comes with MediCal QAWeb, a cloud-based technology for automated calibration and Quality Assurance to ensure maximum uptime without human intervention.
